The renovation of this 5-room resale HDB was a refreshing update to the client's existing home, where the goal was to modernize without a complete overhaul. Inspired by colonial style, the design seamlessly marries classic elegance with contemporary functionality.

A key requirement was to improve air-conditioning efficiency by separating the Living and Dining rooms when necessary. To achieve this, we reconfigured the Living room layout and introduced an open shelf cabinet that maintains airflow while adding a decorative element. Sliding glass doors were also installed, providing the option to close off the Living room without sacrificing visual connectivity.

In the Kitchen, the clients’ passion for cooking inspired practical design choices. Perforated stainless steel doors on select drawers offer ventilation while preventing pests. Ample storage and counter space were prioritized for seamless functionality.

Reeded glass cabinet panels added a subtle texture, enriching the otherwise monochrome color palette. The result is a comfortable and elegant home tailored to the clients' lifestyle, reflecting their desire for a refreshed yet timeless space.
